Kara M. Fitts, Partner

Ms. Fitts served as an Assistant District Attorney in Collin County, Texas from December 2001 - March 2004. As an Assistant District Attorney, Ms. Fitts prosecuted in every County Court at Law and worked in the intake division of the District Attorney's Office. Further, during her time at the District Attorney's Office, she was promoted to the position of Misdemeanor Court Chief. She tried more than 50 jury trials and wrote several appeals.

After leaving the District Attorney's Office in March 2004, she worked as an Associate for G. Patrick Collins & Associates--Staff Counsel for Allstate and Encompass Insurance in downtown Dallas. Her area of practice was Insurance Defense. She had the opportunity to try multiple civil jury trials.

In January 2005, Ms. Fitts joined her former colleague Jennifer Castleman to open their firm, Fitts & Castleman, P.C. Ms. Fitts is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Collin County and has been an associate faculty member at Collin College since 2008.
